Dr. Schmidt is one of the most experienced ocular surgeons in all of Southern California. Having personally performed over 20,000 procedures, Dr. Schmidt has helped develop and provide Orange County residents with the most advanced surgical and medical options available in the field of ophthalmology. He has been a leader and Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology for over 20 years.
Dr. Schmidt received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982 and went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident from 1985 to 1986. Through his dedication, knowledge, and extensive experience, Dr. Schmidt has provided patients with first-class care for over 20 years.
